Call for speakers
We're looking for people to speak at Test Up North 2026 on Tuesday 8th September 2026.
Whether you're a seasoned tester or just starting out, this is an opportunity for you to share your skills and experience with others.
What we're looking for
We welcome all contributions on any topics about or related to testing and software development.
Importantly, we really want to see is practical examples, demos, case studies and stories from the testing world. We beloeve that this helps to really cement ideas on top of talking about theory.
Haven't done any public speaking before? Then we definitely want to hear from you. We can support you with putting a great session together.
Particular areas of interest
There's a few topics/sessions that we'd love people to do:
- Demos of testing tools or techniques
- Using AI in testing
- Testing machine learning models
- Accessibility, security or performance testing
- Quality engineering
- Chaos and mutation testing
- Other unusual forms of testing that most people might not be familiar with
And we'd particularly love workshops and sessions that are interactive. Fancy just playing a game with everyone? We'd love that too.
Session formats
Sessions will come in 2 formats:
- Main presentations and workshops - 30-45 minute each
- Lightening talks - Up to 10 minutes each
Test Up North 2026 is a single track event and all sessions held in a 100 person capacity room with theatre-style seating.
Resources
There will be screens and a PA system in the room. Just bring your own laptop if you need one.
A microphone is also available to use, and the sessions may be recorded (to be confirmed).
If you need any other resources for your session then let us know and we'll try our best to arrange them.
